Many thanks to everyone I have met in the Yamaha Piano division. Thinking back, two of the competitions I have been so fortunate to place first in, were sponsored by Yamaha and Bösendorfer pianos (which is owned by Yamaha). I myself own 3 Yamaha pianos: the C2, U1 and N3 Avant Grand. I love all three pianos for what I need them for. Thanks especially to Roger Jolly and Jun Fujimoto for constantly helping me with all my piano requests.

Here is me from 2009, hiding from practicing at the RCM. Interesting photo...I was looking for an old photo of me and my Yamaha pianos, but this was all I could find!

Anyone who dares to play Beethoven's last Piano Sonata Opus 111 must be fearless and confident in his skills. In the case of Thomas Yu, both are true...[He] plays the piece with elegance and depth...and his interpretation was the highlight of the festival day.
