As promised, I have now included 2 new recordings of my most recent performance in Paris (http://www.thomasyu.ca/page/music/). My entire program was as followed:
Ravel Pavane
Ravel Jeux D’eau
Debussy Images Book I (Reflets dans L’eau, Hommage a Rameau, Mouvement)
Dutilleux Sonate
You can have a listen to the Pavane and Reflets dans L’eau. Although you can do anything you like...here’s a nifty suggestion: open another window, listen to those recordings, and read about the last blog entry about my experience. Just a thought! Or...you can just listen if you like =) Hope you enjoy them!
Anyone who dares to play Beethoven's last Piano Sonata Opus 111 must be fearless and confident in his skills. In the case of Thomas Yu, both are true...[He] plays the piece with elegance and depth...and his interpretation was the highlight of the festival day.
